MATCH REPORT |

MATCH REPORT : A last gasp Daryl Millard try condemned Saints to their first defeat of the season as Catalans came from behind to win a thrilling match by two points. Leading 26 to 8 ten minutes into the second half, the French side punished a number of errors to take the spoils in a superb encounter. A timely interception by Gary Wheeler 11 minutes from time looked set to prove the eventual game winner for the Saints. However, with the last play of the match the Catalans outfit kept the ball alive with a kick, ball realease and passing move across the whole width of the pitch to send Millard in by the left corner flag. The wonderful touchline conversion by jack in a box Scot Dureau sailed over the posts and broke many a heart in the vibrant West Stand. |
