 HERITAGE NO : 10 Dawn Akrigg, nee Taylor, was an important prop forward for the Saints in 2018 and 2019. She was very adept at making good yardage with the ball and a keen tackler in defence. Dawn was a police offer based in Runcorn who had played for Lancashire and England Lionesses. Before joining the Saints She had previously at Warrington Ladies before joining Thatto Heath. Dawn was a hardworking forward who ran hard whilst in possession and was a great tackler in defence. Dawn was a member of the team which lifted the Challenge Cup in a resounding victory over York City Knights in June 2021. She made some great charges up the middle which helped the Saints win the Cup for the first time. She was a regular player for the Club throughout their unbeaten, treble winning campaign of 2021. Dawn played in 8 matches in 2021 but missed out on selection as the team powered to a great victory over the talented Leeds Rhinos side in October 2021.
