 HERITAGE NO : O Connor TWO MATCHES FOR TWO WINS Once again the proliferation of this particular surname in St. Helens has left us without a identity match for this forward. There were quite a few males with that surname of the right playing age in St. Helens when we researched this chap. The name certainly indicates an Irish heritage. His debut was an away fixture against Duckinfield on the 26th of March 1892. The Saints won by 6 points to nil thanks to two tries from James Rennie and another from Bob Doherty. His final appearance came in a Charity match on Monday the 25th of April against Graham’s Select, a team selected by the Saints’ Westmorland forward James Pasha Graham.
