 HERITAGE NO : Swift PLAYED AGAINST WIGAN BUT NOT IDENTIFIED Once again the proliferation of this particular surname in St. Helens has left us without a identity match for this forward. There were 12 Swifts of the right playing age in St. Helens when we researched this chap. He played one first team match for the Saints in an away fixture against Wigan on the 22nd of March 1890. The match ended in a defeat for Swift and the rest of the team. It is highly likely that he played for the Saints’ Reserves but we are no nearer to nailing his identity. |
