Biography of Thomas Walton |
---|
HERITAGE NO : Thomas Walton MYSTERY MINER Thomas was a local lad who was born in St Helens in 1863. When he was a child the father of Thomas died and his mother re-married Thomas Wilson who was an engine driver. In 1881 he was living with his mother and step-father at 21 Barton Street, St. Helens. Thomas worked as a labourer in a brickworks. He played just two matches in two days for the Saints on the 1st and 2nd of January 1886. Both matches were against Litherland and the Saints lost them both. Thomas was in the forwards on both games. We believe that remarried a woman named Margaret Jane but that is all that remains in the records. Perhaps he emigrated with his wife to forge a new life abroad. |
