 HERITAGE NO : 1242 Cossy graduated into the first team squad by the 2018 season. The chirpy lad played at the Orrell St James ARLFC from an early age before starting a scholarship with the Saints in 2014. Matty was equally at home at centre or in the full back role. This quick, elusive player was a strong defender and played his first senior matches for the Sheffield Eagles club. Following the very successful Saints Academy Tour of 2016, Matty was selected to play for the England Under 18 team. In April 2019 Matty scored a very impressive hat trick against the Catalans Dragons.Matty could always be relied upon to come into the team and produce a solid, professional performance. His form continued into the 2020 season when Marty featured in seven early matches for the Saints and crossed for s couple of tries in that spell. At the end of the campaign Matty signed up to move to Salford Red Devils for the 2021 season. Dave Dooley | ||||
