 HERITAGE NO : 1218 Shannon signed for the Saints on a short term contract at the end of the 2014 season. The former NRL full back had previously played in the Super League for both Hull clubs. Shannon made an impressive start at Langtree Park when he bagged a brace of tries in a comfortable win over Wakefield Trinity Wildcats. Known for his attacking flair and support play, he suffered a bad injury in his last match which curtailed his season and his temporary contract. He started the next campaign on the books of Wests Tigers but was sensationally signed up again in April 2015 by the Saints following injuries to Jonny Lomax and Paul Wellens and the sad retirement of Lance Hohaia. 2015 saw the Curse of the Full Backs in St Helens and another season was dramatically curtailed in the match against Castleford in June. Shannon was a crowd favourite. | ||||
