Biography of Adam Swift

Adam was a stand off or full back and signed from Blackbrook. However, on his debut he turned out on the right wing in the narrow Challenge Cup win at Widnes. One week later Adam crossed for a superb hat trick against the same opposition.

The youngster was the grandson of long serving member of BARLA member Harold Swift MBE. Adam played for GB Community Lions in France and also against the Australian Schoolboys in December 2010.

In the second half of the 2013 season Adam forced his way into a regular wing spot with some devastating displays of speed, skill and finishing. His career total at the end of that campaign of 16 tries from 18 games reflected his rise in stature at the club. Adam continued his excellent strike rate when he cemented the left wing berth in the 2014 season culminating in the Grand Final win over Wigan that season. The following campaign saw Adam reach a half century of tries fot the Saints and all round improvements in both defence and attack.

In 2019 Adam made just 7 appearances for the Saints which proved way too few for a winger of such skill and experience. At the end of that season the ever popular winger was transferred to Hull FC.
