 HERITAGE NO : 663 Robert was signed from Widnes for a club record of '1000 in October 1947. He played mostly in the forwards either at prop or in the second row. In 26 matches he crossed the line on just one occasion, in the big win over Liverpool Stanley in September 1948. Bob was an England international and had won the Challenge Cup with Widnes in 1937. In 1939 he was living in Knowles Street, Widnes and working as a Lorry driver. He died in Widnes in June 1957, aged 46. Dave Dooley | ||||
