 HERITAGE NO : 995 Phil was a local lad who graduated through the Saints Colts and A teams. He made his debut for the first team in the heavy away league defeat by Wigan by 42 points to 12 on Good Friday 1987. He played in the right centre position and scored a good try in this match. Phil then went on to come on as substitute in two friendly matches against Sheffield Eagles and Widnes. He scored a try in the former.
