 HERITAGE NO : 601 Edwin was a local lad who played eight matches for the Saints during and just after World War Two. He played at stand off and on the wing. Edwin only finished on the winning side once in his career and that was against Featherstone Rovers in October 1944. In that match he scored his solitary try for the Saints. He was a Book Binder by trade and in 1939 he was living in Knowsley Road, St Helens. He died in March 2006, aged 81 and his death was registered in Knowsley. Dave Dooley |
