 HERITAGE NO : 909 Billy Platt was a larger tha life character and former guardsman renowned in local rugby league circles for his dedication to the game. He made his first team debut for the club in the match against the Australian touring team in October 1975. He was a versatile player who was equally at home in the back row or at centre. Billy scored a brace of tries in the Lancashire Cup thrashing of Swinton. Billy moved on to Leigh after his days at Knowsley Road were over. Dave Dooley | ||||
