HERITAGE NO : 240
William Marr played his only game for the first team in the home defeat to Rochdale Hornets by 26 points to 11. This was despite a brace of tries from Saints winger Tom Barton. He played as full back in this match. The Glass Works Gatherer was resident in Eccleston Street, St Helens up to 1911. William died in St Helens in March 1973 at the age of 82.
