 HERITAGE NO : 629 This local scrum half played four matches from August 1945 to January 1946. Edwin made a winning start with the Saints as they prevailed over Broughton Rangers by 11 points to 5. He finished on the losing side in his next three fixtures however and signed for the Dewsbury club in 1946. He later played for Liverpool Stanley and can be seen in those colours in his photo gallery images. In 1939 he was still at school and living in Gaskell Street, St Helens. |
