 HERITAGE NO : 542 Samuel was a half back who played three matches for the Saints during World War Two. He played two matches at scrum half and one at stand off. Samuel unfortunately ended each match on the losing side. In 1939 he was living in Austin Avenue, St Helens and working as a Rolling Mill Metal Worker. He died in Widnes in September 1973, aged 52.
