 HERITAGE NO : 869 Eric Hughes was a hooker who played 15 matches for the club between February 1971 and March 1973. His excellent hooking prowess provided ample possession for the team. As a result in his 15 matches Eric collected winning pay on 12 occasions. He scored one try for the club against Swinton and also kicked one goal in the match against Hull KR. Eric moved to Leigh in 1974. Thanks to his daughter, Caroline, for providing his correct date of birth and a splendid photograph of Eric packing down in one of these matches.
