 HERITAGE NO : 919 A one off special drafted into the team when the first team squad went on strike for the first round Lancashire Cup match against Wigan. The game will long be remembered for the Wigan winger Green Vigo scoring a boatload of tries. John informs us that he was training with the Saints at the time but played for the Widnes amateur club Simms Cross. Subsequently he was signed by Kel Coslett for Rochdale Hornets and went on to play over 80 games for them in the first team. John adds that he is the cousin of Saints' legend, George Nicholls.
