HERITAGE NO : 125
Joseph Green donned the number nine jersey in his only appearance for the Saints first team. The game was an away league match at Morecambe in which the Saints drew with Morecambe 2 points all. Joseph later moved to Wigan in an exchange deal which saw George Ellison crossing Billinge Lump.

In 1921 Joseph was living in Peter Street, St. Helens with his wife, Margaret, in a household of 12 people including their two sons Joe and John together with a host of relations. . He was a Railway Wagon Sheeter with the London and North Western Railway Company . In 1939 he was working as a railway porter and he can be found living in Dodd Avenue, St Helens. His death is registered in Prescot in December 1942 at the age of 60. Can you help the SHS by supplying a photograph or any other personal or playing details?
