 HERITAGE NO : 396 James played two matches for the Saints between March 1932 and April 1933. The second row or loose forward was a tough forward of his day. He was a General Labourer who lived his whole life in St Helens, where he loved playing and generally being involved in sport. In 1939 he was living in Back Liverpool Street, St Helens. Later he was Trainer for Liverpool Stanley after the Second World War. In 1921 James was living in Clayton Street, St. Helens with his parents and five siblings. He was working as a Haulage Hand at Sutton Manor Colliery. He died in his hometown in September 1988, aged 82. Can you help the SHS by supplying any other personal or playing details?
