 HERITAGE NO : 553 Bob Brown played his only match for the Saints in the 26 points to 3 away defeat in this War Emergency League match. He was the old Salford winger who was seeking a contract at Knowsley Road. Bob was one of the great Diables Rouges Salford team of the 1930s. At the time of his only match for the Saints, Bob was on the books of Rochdale Hornets. In 1939 Bob was living in Shallbourne Road, Worsley and working as a Timber Yard Foreman.
