 HERITAGE NO : 83 Tom 'Wack' Briers played mostly in the forwards at a time when the battle in the scrums and loose play was ferocious. He played a total of 33 matches for the club around the turn of the century. Tom gained his strength from being a miner and general labourer. Emanating from Parr he was registered in the 1939 Census as living in Parlane Street, St Helens. His death was recorded in Prescot in June 1948 aged 72.
