 HERITAGE NO : Phillip Park by SHS The following entry in the St.Helens Newspaper for 22nd February 1935 will shed some light on the post-St.Helens career of this player: "During the week Phillip Park was transferred to Barrow. Park was signed several seasons ago by the Saints and he has played several brilliant games with the A team. The difficulty has always been that of expense. Park is employed at Millom, Cumberland, and as the finances of the club stand, it was not considered wise to expend considerable expense on providing travelling facilities for an A team game. Consequently his recent appearances have been extremely rare." | ||||
