Biography of Hughie Creevey

HERITAGE NO :
The fourth member of the Creevey clan to be signed by the Saints. Unfortunately Hughie did not get into the first team - possibly his career was interrupted by the Great War. He was signed from Runcorn in October 1914 just after the War started. At Runcorn he did not succeed in achieving first team status. The 1939 Census had him working as a General Labourer and living with his wife Grace, née Moody, at 83 Vincent Street, St Helens. Hugh died in October 1957 aged 68 leaving his only child Moira who seems to have married a chap named Freeman. All three of the above mentioned are buried in the same grave in St Helens Cemetery.
