|Some information for you on a Jack Cayzer who appears on your non first teamers list on your website.
It would appear from what we know here at Barrow that Saints were his first pro club !
Jack originally was on the Saints books from 1930. After being signed off he was picked up by Wigan Highfield who he stayed with until Barrow signed him in March 1933.He was with Barrow until January 1935. In the next season 1935 to 1936 he was with Acton and Willesden but when they folded at the end of that season he seemed to disappear from the game. |
He emerged in 1938 at Hull KR and as far as we know was never officially released so was playing as a war time guest at Wigan, making over 100 appearances for them as well as the couple of appearances for the Saints.
Finally after the war he signed with Leigh with whom he played until 1948.
Thanks to Dave Huitson from Barrow for the additional information about the well travelled Jack Cayzer.
